LADC Supervisor, Geneva
Michael graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. I began my career at House of Charity in Minneapolis and have worked for the past 6 years with Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge in various capacities, including outpatient, men's residential, and women's residential programming.
Why Did You Choose Northstar Behavioral Health?
Seeing the assault of substance abuse on my life and family as well the lives of my friends and their families was a driving force in beginning a career in the helping field. I enjoy supporting individuals in connecting with the values that drive their desire for sobriety. I have met the most amazing, resourceful people as a counselor. NBH is a great opportunity to continue to grow and learn as a counselor and in my connection with the recovery community.
I am married with a blended family that includes 6 adult sons and 5 grandchildren, and enjoy hiking and volunteering, especially when I can include those things with family.
