Randy McCallum, ADC-T

Outpatient Counselor

I am a 2013 graduate of Minneapolis Community and Technical College, earning an Associate's Degree in Addictions Counseling.  I am pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Leadership and Addiction Studies at Metro State University. Prior to going to school I served in the US Army and Minnesota National Guard and deployed in support of Operation Iraq Freedom, 2005-2007. I also worked for two years in the Harm Reduction/MAT field prior to joining the Northstar team.  I am an avid golfer, reader, and Minnesota United fan.

Why Did You Choose Northstar Behavioral Health?

I chose Northstar because of the positive energy I experienced from the staff and clients prior to joining the team. I have heard nothing but positive comments from those that have attended inpatient and outpatient at Northstar, and other people in this field have spoken highly of the organization. Another aspect I like about Northstar is the length of the programs. It is important to me that we are able to work with people in early recovery longer to reinforce important concepts of recovery such as connection and positivity. I look forward to helping our clients and learning from them as well.
