The transportation specialist is responsible for driving all Northstar Behavioral Health vehicles legally, safely and responsibly.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities Of Transportation Specialist
Transport clients to and from appointments, intake pickups, discharge drop offs, etc.
Be aware of and follow all safety practices/risk assessments at all times
Understanding of working in a confidential manner
Ensure that vehicles are cleaned on a regular basis (inside and out)
Inspect the vehicle as required and report any defect or damage to supervisor; as well as coordinate all maintenance of vehicles in a timely manner
Open and effective communication with Lead Technicians, Clinical staff and Nursing staff to coordinate effective and efficient transportation for clients
Ability to communicate properly with Methadone clinics to set up Federal Grants and take outs for clients
Ensure all passengers in the vehicle are compliant, safe and nonvolatile
Maintain proper boundaries with not only clients but clients of the opposite sex
Ensure first aid kit and emergency kits are fully stocked - check on bi-weekly basis at minimum
Minimum Qualifications Required
First Aid / CPR Certified
Must be 18 years or older
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have driver’s license
Acceptable driving record
